Treasurer General responding to Herbert's statement

Kota Kinabalu, August 27: What the SAPP president had asked for was a clear and final investigation on SAS (Saham Amanah Sabah) fiasco to punish the culprits, if any, so as to restore the confidence of the people on SAS.

This is because PBS leaders including a Minister, have been harping on the SAS issue as though there were abuses and criminal offences committed in the affairs of SAS. A PBS leader even named SAPP Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee as the culprit.

So, it is perfectly normal for SAPP to call for a investigation or white paper.

2. How does Herbert know that there is no culprit at all if there is no investigation or white paper? Why does the other PBS leaders who used to champion the SAS issue such as Minister Datuk Dr. Yee Moh Chai and Supreme Councillor Chin Tek Ming keep quiet now?

3. It is best the Herbert a former political secretary at the CM Department, who used to issue statements on the instructions of the Chief Minister's office, simply do his work as an assistant minister of consumer affairs to look into the problems of inflation that has caused suffering to the rakyat.
