Gun, bullets seized from pusher

KUALA LUMPUR: Police seiz-ed a semi-automatic pistol and five bullets from a suspected drug pusher in a raid on an entertainment centre here late Friday night.

The 23-year-old suspect from Kelantan was nabbed during a routine check at the outlet in Megan Avenue, Jalan Tun Razak, just after 11pm.

Police believed the man was at the outlet to supply drugs to the patrons.

Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Datuk Abdul Samah Mat said the man was caught after a brief struggle and later tested positive for ketamine.

He said the suspect also had a date in court for an attempted murder case which occurred last June.
The man had allegedly tried to run down several policemen with his vehicle during a drug raid. He was charged and released on bail.

Police also arrested a woman for possession of two Ecstasy pills while 13 others, who tested positive for drug abuse, were released on bail.
