Fairus Losing Battle

It is clear now that Penang Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Fairus Khairudin is walking on thin ice.

He is expected to lose his post more than he may have anticipated, all by his own doing. His reasons for not attending many state official functions and ceremonies due to his busy schedule may be a thing of the past.

He will be a free man after this and he will not have to crack his head to cook up more reasons when his post is taken over by Deputy Chief Minister in-waiting Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah, who is well-received by the masses and the people’s choice of a leader.

Many refused to believe when rumours spread and rife that Fairus is not performing and may be replaced.

Speculations are blowing strongly in the Pearl of The Orient that Penangites may have a new Deputy Chief Minister by early next year.

It should be something for the Malays, especially, to cheer and look forward, as many of them have lost hope and faith in Fairus.

But Fairus is still adamant and defiant. He felt that it was just rumours being spread by irresponsible people who are jealous of him and attempting to smear his reputation.

We hope Fairus will face reality that his days are numbered.

Today (Nov 30, 2008), Arif Shah is in Kuala Lumpur and Fairus’ big boss Datuk Seri Anwar had called on Arif for a meeting to discuss about his plan.

Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul has been tasked to entice Arif into Pakatan Rakyat and the Deputy Chief Minister’s post was put on the table as carrot in the deal and Fairus does not know about this.

Well, Fairus should listen to the people and take their words seriously. We hope it is not too let for him now.
