MCA vice-president Datuk Ong Tee Keat has issued a strong warning to those making slanderous statements during the campaign for the party election to stop such a practice as it would only destroy the party.
He said he would go all out against such elements as many had fallen victims to these slanders.
“If you want to expose something, report to the authorities, don’t campaign by making allegations without evidence,” he told reporters after visiting the Hainanese cultural village in conjunction with the Chinese Cultural fest at the national level, here today.
Ong, who is contesting the post of MCA president on Oct 18, claimed that there were certaian groups in the party who were making allegations against him with the intention of tarnishing his reputation.
